1. Hand-Arm Vibration
Hand-arm vibration is usually caused by using vibrating hand-held tools, like pneumatic jack hammers, drills and electrical tools. The nature of these tools involves vibration transmitting from the tools to the hands and arms of the operators. Vibration Syndrome and Vibration-Induced White Finger (VWF) are the major health hazards related to long term exposure to
hand-arm transmitted vibration.
2. Whole-Body Vibration
Whole-body vibration is transmitted through the seat or feet (supporting surfaces) of workers who drive mobile machines, or other work vehicles, over rough and uneven surfaces as a main part of their job. Large shocks and jolts may cause health risks including back-pain.
3. How to use this App
This application is used to measure and analyze hand-arm transmitted vibration or whole-boday vibration transmitted from commonly used tools. The vibration measurements can be carried out by tightly attaching the phone to a hand operating tools (for hand-arm vibration measurement) or the support surface (for whole-body vibration measurement). Read the instructions and follow each step to finish the evaluations of the vibrations from your tools.
